Dr. Kasun & Dr. Higgins
Dr. Chélise Kasun and Dr. Furey Higgins are general dentists with a special interest and expertise in the field of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Kasun graduated from the University of Saskatchewan College of Dentistry in 2007 and practised in Vernon for one year before moving to Victoria. Dr. Higgins graduated from Dalhousie University Faculty of Dentistry in 1996 and has lived in Victoria ever since. They are married and have two daughters, Mylène and Niamh.
They are both diplomates of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM) and active members of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM, the leading national organization representing dentists who treat sleep-disordered breathing, which includes obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and snoring, with oral appliance therapy (OAT).
Drs Kasun and Higgins are active members of The American Sleep and Breathing Academy, The Canadian Sleep Society, The World Sleep Society and The Buteyko Breathing Educators Association.
They recognize that good quality sleep is the foundation of all health and that our airway is the key to healthy growth and development. Sleep is one of the three pillars of health, alongside diet and exercise. Without it, your health, well-being, and enjoyment of life will eventually suffer.
